The city of Upland, California is as crooked as a dogs leg. Former officials are finding themselves in some real hot water and there may be an interesting couple of elections coming up. When it comes to allowing medical marijuana patients to get access to their medicines the city has been especially egregious, outlawing dispensaries wholesale and aggressively and violently, annexing county land and then applying their law retroactively. Worse, they have shut down dispensaries once hailed as a model for compliant and ethical practices.

Libertarians and our allies are about to call them on the carpet and force a change with a local initiative that provides sensible community rules for these businesses in a city that already has a large commercial/industrial zone used for businesses with an adult orientation.
